Find Pain Relief and Improved Mobility Through Pilates


Anna Swim goes to the Pilates House three time a week and says, "when I miss a day, I feel it!" She has lower back pain due to arthritis and has a history of broken ribs. Pilates, she says, helps her healing by building strength and resilience. 

In addition, she credits the Pilates House and Instructor Courtney with helping her keep moving and improving her balance and coordination. Pilates students like Anna also perform breathing exercises that help them to breathe through the challenging positions.


"Because it's performed on the reformer machines, it's accessible to everyone," Anna explains, "Courtney is great at modifying the exercises for different abilities. There's no shame at all in doing fewer sets or using less resistance. She meets you where you are and grows you from there."
