The City of Zachary is inviting entrepreneurs and business owners to become part of the city's history by submitting proposals to lease and operate retail businesses in two of downtown Zachary's most recognizable historic buildings: the Historic Zachary Train Depot and Old Town Hall.
Both properties are located in the heart of downtown and are being offered as unique opportunities for businesses looking to establish a presence in a landmark setting while contributing to the continued growth and revitalization of the area.
The Historic Zachary Train Depot, located at the corner of Main Street and Central Street, is available for lease with a proposed term of up to two years. The depot has long been a symbol of Zachary's railroad heritage and remains a focal point of the downtown district.
Also available is the historic Old Town Hall building, located at the corner of Florida Street and Virginia Street. The property is being offered for retail use with a proposed two-year lease term.
Interested parties must submit written proposals to Zachary City Hall, 4700 Main Street, no later than 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
The City encourages prospective tenants to tour the properties before submitting proposals. Tours of both buildings may be scheduled Monday through Thursday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. from June 1 through June 30.
For more information about either property or the proposal process, interested applicants may contact Ashleigh McHugh at (225) 654-0287, ext. 6.
