This letter is being published as it has been received from the Matte family. 

To Our Valued Customers and Suppliers,

On behalf of the passing of our loving father, Mark Matte, with Matte’s Plumbing, we wanted to reach out and personally thank you for the decades of love and support. Whether you were a customer or a supplier, he considered you family! He started his company over 30 years ago because he wanted to be able to bless others in ways that he could only do by owning his own company. His 64 selfless beautiful years of life blessed so many. In return, it has planted beautiful blessings upon our family after he suddenly after he passed January 19, 2025. The love, support and especially the beautiful stories shared about him have been priceless and truly appreciated!!! If our dad didn’t have such a huge passion for what he did and for each of you so deeply and a heart so in love with his family, these beautiful 64 years would have never left such a beautiful legacy that we all could share today. 

We hope you smile as you remember his silly jokes, contagious smile, and his relentless passion for getting things done and leaving his phone or a tool he left behind lol, and his stories he loved to tell of his family. Which made it where so many people knew us, but we never knew some of them. So, in thanks and hopefully to carry on his legacy, we will try to leave you pieces of him. It’s ironic that dad loved to plant crops after his parents passed and loved sharing them with others. So, what fitting way this scripture is of his life. Sowing seeds of kindness! Was and is Mark, our daddy! Just for Our Lord now!

Around town, we hope you are blessed with some cucumber seeds, or maybe even from ZHS AG/FFA Department's upcoming Love Like Mark Produce Stand, to think of Mark, and remember his contagious smile. And, most importantly, to honor what he did for God by carrying on dad’s legacy to bless others. 

With that said, unfortunately another huge part of our family will sadly come to an end. Matte’s Plumbing as you know it, will come to an end March 14th, 2025. We have received numerous calls about selling the business and/or its assets. We pray God guides what ever is meant for our family and to serve you best.
