The historic McHugh House Bed and Breakfast on Virginia Street's owner Deb Bellingham is bringing a taste of Madrid to Zachary's Saturday morning.
Tomorrow, January 11th, Bellingham is hosting a Spicy Breakfast Burrito & Spanish Street Taco Pop-Up from 9 a.m. til 1 p.m. in the Carriage House, the newly-renovated standalone commercial kitchen behind the historic McHugh house.

"I fell in love with the street tacos at Plaza Del Sol while living in Madrid," says Bellingham, whose husband's work as an Exxon executive took them to Spain for several years. She even managed to secure the original recipe from the local taqueria owners before returning stateside, and will recreate the authentic Spanish recipe tomorrow.
The intimate space will feature five cafe-style tables and serve Community Coffee's American Blend alongside specialty coffee cocktails. Bellingham is taking a low-key approach to the opening. "I'm just going to start serving and see what happens," she says.
But tacos aren't the only treasure Bellingham discovered at the McHugh House. When she purchased the property, she inherited a collection of local historical photos and mementos. Among them are several pictures of the McHugh family and other community members from Zachary's early days.
Bellingham hopes to identify more people in these historic photos and is offering to make sepia-tone copies for families who spot their relatives. We'll be publishing those pictures on our social media as well, so let us know if you spot your grandpa!
