May 29, 2024 01:34PM ● By Lauren Pope

Iris Nettles Pugh and T.J. Pugh are bringing a slice of Southern sweetness to Zachary with the opening of The Peach Cobbler Factory on June 15th at noon. Having successfully run the Bluebonnet location in Baton Rouge, the Pughs are excited to expand their delicious offerings to their hometown.

Why Zachary? The decision to bring The Peach Cobbler Factory to Zachary stemmed from a desire to share their passion for mouth-watering desserts with their community "We saw the joy it brought to Baton Rouge and wanted to bring that same experience to Zachary," said TJ Pugh. "We believe Zachary is ready for something new and delicious."

What's on the Menu? Despite its name, The Peach Cobbler Factory offers much more than just peach cobbler. Expect a delightful surprise when you step through the doors. The menu boasts 12 flavors of cobbler and 12 flavors of banana pudding, along with churros, cinnamon rolls, and shakes. "It's a hook," says T.J. Pugh. "You come in for the cobbler, but you'll want to try everything. It’s a place you’ll want to visit twice a week."

Where to Find Them? The new location is at 19900 Old Scenic Highway - it's the storefront that was the old Jambalaya Shoppe. If that doesn't clue you into the location,  it's in the strip mall with Papa Johns and Brunch Junkie. The grand opening is set for June 15th, pending a few final inspections, with a soft opening around June 8th to train the staff.

Join the Team The Peach Cobbler Factory is hiring and looking for enthusiastic, fun-loving individuals who are passionate about customer service. "We're building a family atmosphere," says T.J. "We want people who are appreciative and willing to learn. Our Cobbleristas handle everything from cooking to baking, and most everything is prepared on site every day." The job listing will be coming to Indeed soon.

Come Out and Try the Cobbler T.J. and Iris stand by their product, with T.J. sharing, "I’m a cobbler person, and she’s a banana pudding person. We won’t sell you something we don’t eat ourselves. If something isn’t right, give us a chance to make it perfect. We take pride in our recipes and want to share that with you."

So, mark your calendars for June 15th and come out to The Peach Cobbler Factory in Zachary. Whether you’re a cobbler fan or a banana pudding enthusiast, there’s something for everyone.
