May 13, 2024 11:05AM ● By Lauren Pope
Zachary High School has recently added a fragrant twist to its morning routine with the opening of the Bronco Brewhouse, a Community Coffee shop partnership that has quickly become a school favorite. Just one week after its doors opened, the coffee shop is already making a significant impact, according to Assistant Principal Erica Henry.

"We are excited about the Bronco Brewhouse," Erica Henry remarked. "It has been open for one week and it is thriving! We are thankful that Community Coffee agreed to a partnership." This new venture is not just a place for students and staff to grab a quick coffee; it's a hub of positivity and energy right from the early hours of the morning.

While Erica herself isn't a coffee drinker, she appreciates the aroma and the cheerful mood it brings. "The smell of fresh brewed coffee puts me in a good mood. After a week of business, I see it does the same for students," she noted. This observation speaks volumes about the coffee shop's influence on the school atmosphere—enhancing alertness, mood, and the overall environment.

Bronco Brewhouse isn't limited to just coffee. It offers a variety of beverages including tea and lemonade, ensuring there's something for everyone. Uniquely, the shop is managed on a weekly rotation by different school clubs and organizations, providing students with hands-on business and management experience while supporting club activities and funding.

Open for business before school from 6:30 AM to 6:53 AM and during lunchtime, the Bronco Brewhouse serves as a practical learning environment and a cozy gathering spot for the school community.

The successful integration of the Bronco Brewhouse at Zachary High School demonstrates how a simple cup of coffee can brew much more than just caffeine! It can also stir enthusiasm, learning, and community spirit among students.
