ZCSD School Board honors 2022 Students of the Year

The ZCSD School Board was thrilled to honor the 2022 Students of the Year at the April board meeting last night. These exemplary students were selected from each school in the district. Each Student of the Year was recognized by Superintendent Devillier and the School Board for their outstanding academic performance, kindness, and strong character traits. The families of the Students of the Year were also present and recognized for their endless support. In a room full of smiles, each principal stood up to tell everyone about the long list of wonderful reasons that their school’s student was chosen as the Student of the Year. Each student was given an award as well a Great American Cookies cookie cake!
The two DEMCO Essay Contest winners from ZHS were also honored. Because of their win, they will be taking an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, DC in June. Both students recited their essays with no preparation and wowed the audience with their impromptu public speaking ability and the content of their essays. Our district is so proud of these students and their accomplishments and is thankful for their amazing families, teachers, and administrators who support them.
