Zachary Legendz 10U Black Baseball Team Wins Grand Slam World Series

The Legendz 10U Black Baseball Team from Zachary, LA went undefeated in bracket play, bringing home the Grand Slam World Series Championship win on July 2.

The Legendz were the only team representing Louisiana in their age bracket at the Grand Slam World Series held from June 28 through July 2. The Zachary team went undefeated in bracket play, defeating a total of 16 teams.

In the championship game, winning pitcher Brooks Hebert allowed seven hits and four runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking zero. Hamlin Hess came in as relief from the bullpen to close out the game.

Legendz 10U Black tallied eight hits on the day led by Owen Partin and Case Tynes. They defeated the FCA Braves 10U from Tunnel Hill, GA 11-8 to take home the championship win.
