Two Zachary High Juniors Named DEMCO Essay Semi-Finalists

Zachary High School juniors Kennedy Hughes and Victor Filogonio-Costa

Zachary High School juniors Kennedy Hughes and Victor Filogonio-Costa were named 2022 DEMCO essay semi-finalists.

Twelve 11th grade students will be selected to give an oral presentation of their essay and four winners will receive an all-expense-paid trip of a lifetime to the NRECA Rural Electric Youth Tour in Washington, D.C. June 17-24, 2022.
Since 1978, DEMCO has sponsored an annual essay contest for high school juniors throughout the seven parish service areas of Ascension, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Livingston, St. Helena, Tangipahoa and West Feliciana.
