Scott Masterson and Wayne Day go head to head in tomato competition

The tomatoes are planted and growing in the gardens of Zachary Public Works Director Wayne Day and City Building Official Scott Masterson.

Each year, the two compete to grow the finest tomatoes in Zachary. This year, they’ll go head-to-head (or should we say toma-toe to toe??), with Mayor David McDavid declaring only one of them the official “Best Tomato Grower in Zachary” in May 2023. Here’s a peek at their progress in April:
