Ben Necaise, Superintendent of the Zachary Community School District, is a dedicated education leader who is passionate about empowering students to achieve their full potential. Having lived a journey of personal growth, Necaise now plays a vital role in shaping the educational landscape of his district.
Necaise openly acknowledges that he wasn’t the most focused student during his high school years. However, a turning point came when he enrolled in college as a history major, free to him as a member of the Louisiana Army National Guard. Necaise discovered a newfound love for learning and realized that success came through effort and dedication. Now, he says, he seeks out students like his former self to help them understand all that they can achieve.
With a background in workforce development honed through years of an executive leadership position with the East Baton Rouge Parish School System, he strives to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of post-high school options.
The ZCSD stands out for its commitment to offering a wide range of programs and certifications, and Necaise plans to continue to foster opportunities to match students with their aspirational careers. His focus is ensuring that students have access to diverse opportunities within their own school. “The district already has so much going for it,” he says. “My goal is to just support that.”
Ben Necaise’s personal journey from a lackluster student to the Superintendent of Zachary Community School District exemplifies the transformative power of education. His commitment to empowering students, fostering workforce development, and providing diverse opportunities is instrumental in shaping the lives and futures of countless students within his district. Necaise’s dedication serves as an inspiration to both educators and students alike.
