Copper Mill Elementary School Principal Angela Cassard gave a warm welcome to two students who were nervous about attending a large school.
According to a Facebook post, Cecil and Sarah Graves reached out to Principal Cassard to help introduce their two children to their new school. Cassard gladly obliged on short notice, creating a comfortable atmosphere for their first experience at Copper Mill Elementary.
The Graves family describes their experience as terrific in the Facebook post, “After our visit, which was terrific, I have two little girls ready to attend and try to get their picture on the wall in the halls of Copper Mill! These pictures represent children who are leaders at their age! I sure love this community! Thank you again, Mrs. Cassard!”
This experience is one of many in the Zachary Community School District that makes growing up and going to school in Zachary excellent. You will find more uplifting stories about the people who make growing up in Zachary excellent in the upcoming August edition of Porch & Parish, Zachary’s Community Magazine. Look for it in mailboxes the first week of August!
