Copper Mill Elementary’s Art Teacher Darryl Alello’s students created ornaments for the First Lady of Louisiana. Each year, the First Lady’s office contacts all the school districts across the state which select students to create ornaments to hang on the Governor’s Mansion Christmas tree. Students were encouraged to design their own ornaments using their imaginations and talents. The ornaments will be displayed on the trees through December.
Donna Edwards, First Lady of Louisiana, posted a video on her Instagram account @firstladyofLA earlier this week showcasing all of the young artists’ creations, inviting viewers to spot their student’s creation.
