Christmas In The Village…and the Country

The holiday season 2022 is kicking off this weekend in Zachary! Tonight at 6 p.m. is Christmas in the Village in Zachary’s Historic Downtown at the corner of Lee and Main street. Santa will be loaded down with lots of goodies including Toys, Trains, & Candy Canes. And make sure you wake up on time Saturday morning for Zachary’s Christmas parade at 10 a.m. on Main Street. Streets will close at 9:30, so give yourself time to park and get set up!
If you’re not ready for the magic to end, travel up the road to Christmas in The Country in the historically quaint town of St. Francisville. Local Jacob Mansell says it best:
“My family and I have attended Christmas in The Country since moving to WFP in 2016. It really gets you in the Christmas spirit, providing much fun for friends and family.  My children adore the scavenger hunt that keeps you walking the streets, from shop to shop looking for the elusive gingerbread man or woman.”
6:00-8:00 Peep Into Our Holiday Homes Along Ferdinand & Royal Streets
6:30-8:30 Parker Park – Live Music by Day Trip, vendors & food trucks
6:30-8:30 Live Nativity at First Baptist Church, corner of Hwy 61 & 10

The weekend kicks off with the lighting of the town Christmas tree at the town hall, followed by the Jingle Bell Mingle on Commerce St. with live music, dancing, and food on Friday evening, December the 2nd, at 6:00. Slide into one of the many shops exploring gift options for those special people in your life. Also, you can’t forget about the lighting display at the WFP Hospital and the most excellent live Nativity at the First Baptist Church on Hwy 61.
